This myth has been around since the nineties, when it was believed that the floor should be several tones darker than the walls. And if someone in those years had done a white floor in his apartment, such a decision would have caused widespread bewilderment. Recently, however, it was light flooring that has become a fashionable design trend.

Advantages and disadvantages of a light floor

The main advantage of white is that it visually expands the space, making it larger and more spacious. Such a floor is perfect for light-flooded rooms, it will ideally increase the level of illumination. Therefore, it is advisable to make a bright floor in dark rooms and small city apartments.

One of the main advantages of the white floor is that when it is designed, you can create original contrasts, giving the interior nobility and chic, but it should be noted that it is not appropriate in such styles as Baroque, Antique, Rococo and in the classic interior. But for a country style, minimalism and modernism, such a gender is an ideal option.
