Convenient magazine stand: another home workshop idea
Often in our everyday life a decent pile of magazines accumulates: new and old, fascinating and useful, or long read. How is it a pity to throw them away - what if they come in handy? But sometimes it’s so hard to find the very magazine that stores the very necessary information at the moment! In such cases, a convenient shelf will be very handy. We offer to build a simple and attractive option for magazine stands.
To do this, you will need:
- 6 leather belts;
- 4 things;
- 2 round wooden planks;
- 2 rectangular brass rings;
- durable waxed thread.
In addition, you need to prepare tools such as a saw, drill, drill, needle and hole punch for the skin.
First of all, you should cut out a base consisting of four boards and two round wooden planks. Then, using a machine and a drill, drill wide holes for screws.
Connect the boards in pairs, carefully securing them with screws.
Then put rings on this place and completely disconnect the wooden legs of the future rack.
Draw a cut line with a pencil for good stability of the stand. Now you have to disassemble the structure again to carefully cut the leg boards.
Next, proceed directly to the stand holders themselves - leather belts. In fact, you can take more than six belts - this already depends on the length of the product. Punch 4 holes at opposite ends with a special hole punch. To do this, pre-wrap the straps around the wooden plank to mark the places for punctures.
Pass the waxed thread into the finished holes and carefully tie both parts of the belts, then put the belts on the wooden round planks.
Now you can fully assemble the stand, which will become the original and indispensable repository of your favorite magazines.
